Capital & Management Division

Through our GSE Capital & Management division, General Sports provides funding for the start-up and operation of affiliated entities to which General Sports also provides management and marketing services. The GSE Capital & Management division allows us to leverage all of our relationships and experience gained through many years in the sports and entertainment industry for the benefit of new General Sports affiliated companies. Currently, there are two General Sports affiliated entities – General Sports Venue, LLC and US Energia, LLC – that were created through the GSE Capital & Management division and to which General Sports is providing management and marketing services.

US Energia
US Energia was established in November 2006 as the first non-sports venture for General Sports and Entertainment. US Energia provides technical, engineering and project management services to the telecommunications, medical, education, government, oil and gas, and automotive industries through its two business divisions - Energy Products and Services and Tech-Line Automation.

The Energy Products and Services division provides mission critical power services that include installation, preventative maintenance and emergency services for all aspects of DC and back-up power, including batteries, generators, uninterruptible power systems, power plants and automatic transfer switches. The Tech-Line Automation division focuses on designing controls hardware and software, while also providing comprehensive engineering, consulting and project management services to the end-users of tooling and equipment systems. We believe that by combining US Energia's core competencies with the relationships and marketing expertise of General Sports, US Energia has the potential to become a technical services powerhouse in North America.

GSV
General Sports Venue was established in January 2003 to provide, install and service synthetic turf systems for athletic fields; it also provides construction management and consulting services for the development of small to medium sized athletic facilities. In 2006, General Sports Venue entered into a long-term agreement providing it with the exclusive sales and marketing rights for all AstroTurf®-branded products in the American sports market. As part of the re-launch of the iconic AstroTurf brand, General Sports Venue secured legendary NFL quarterback Archie Manning as the spokesperson for AstroTurf.
