The Meeting of the Great Minds in Sports

HISTORY

Over its ten-year history, from 2001 through 2010, the General Sports' owned and produced Sports Executive Leadership Conference has attracted some of the industry's top team owners, presidents and high-level sports executives from around the world.

The groundbreaking event offers world-class keynote speakers on everything from business to economics and politics. It brings the world's thought-leaders to the sports industry elite

The conference has continuously featured terrific relationship-building activities such as golf clinics conducted in partnership with Golf Digest Instructional Schools, fly fishing excursions to the beautiful South Platte River, horseback riding through the mountains, whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, tennis clinics conducted by former U.S. Davis Cup captain Dennis Ralston, a cattle round-up excursion, mountain biking down scenic Cheyenne Mountain and an exclusive tour led by high-ranking generals of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) located deep inside Cheyenne Mountain.

Past conferences have also featured evenings complete with cocktail receptions, fabulous gourmet meals, a charity auction conducted by Sotheby's Senior Vice President of Collectibles, Leila Dunbar, and entertainment, including the 2003 Star Search Grand Champion Tiffany Evans and the magician to the stars Brian Gillis and Sisuepahn. All of the conference activities have utilized the grand setting of The Broadmoor, a AAA Five Diamond Resort tucked away at the foot of the Rockies, as the perfect setting for this outstanding event.
