DENVER, CO. -- (January 22, 2008) -- The Wayne County Airport Authority
(WCAA) has named General Sports and Entertainment (GSE) as the exclusive
sponsorship sales agency to execute the naming rights sales campaign for the
Detroit Metropolitan Airport's new North Terminal.
After a rigorous, multi-round interview process, WCAA selected General Sports
as the agency of record over several of the other leading sports sponsorship
and naming rights companies in the industry. General Sports Alliances (GSA),
the national sponsorship sales arm of General Sports, will lead the WCAA
initiative. With offices in Detroit and Denver, GSA will measure, package and
execute the naming rights sales strategy and sales campaign. The North
Terminal is expected to be completed in September 2008. It will become the
first major International Airport Terminal to sell its naming rights.
