Peoria Chiefs Retain General Sports Alliances for Naming Rights Sales Campaign

DENVER, CO. (March 27, 2009) — The Peoria Chiefs have engaged General Sports Alliances (GSA) to manage and execute the naming rights campaign to the teamas home ballpark, OaBrien Field. The Peoria Chiefs are the Class A minor league team of the Chicago Cubs.

GSA will handle all aspects of the naming rights campaign, including marketing, collateral development, sales and negotiations. GSA is looking to secure a new naming rights partner for the field as the current title holder, OaBrien Automotive, has chosen not to renew its contract with the team.

Built in 2002, OaBrien Field is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of 7,500. Since opening its gates, the ballpark has experienced numerous sell-outs including a 2005 game that attracted 9,692 fans. In its 468 games, OaBrien Field has averaged an attendance of 3,765 fans each game.

GSA will begin its naming rights campaign immediately. About the Peoria Chiefs
The Peoria Chiefs, originally the Peoria Suns, joined the Midwest League in 1983 after relocating from their original home in Danville, IL. Since moving to Peoria, the team has been under the affiliation of the California Angels (1983-1984), Chicago Cubs (1985-1995 and 2005-present) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1996-2004). The Chiefs history has been rich in success, most recently winning the 2002 Midwest League Championship and reaching the playoffs with a first-half division championship and 75 wins in 2006. The organizationas roster has seen numerous major league players including Nomar Garciaparra, Kerry Wood, Greg Maddux, Joe Girardi, Kerry Robinson, Mark Prior and Albert Pujols who captured the Midwest Leagueas Most Valuable Player award and was named the leagueas Prospect of the Year in 2000.
