General Sports Alliances Engaged to Sell for Xterra

DENVER, CO. (July 2, 2009) — TEAM Unlimited, owner of XTERRA, has engaged General Sports Alliances (GSA) to act exclusively as the property's sponsorship sales agency. GSA will assist in building new partners for XTERRA and all assets associated with the XTERRA brand. Initial areas of focus include television, destinations and all levels of sponsorship.

GSA will begin its sales campaign for XTERRA immediately. Chris Foy, President of GSA, noted, "XTERRA has a proven track record of excellence through the increasing popularity of the XTERRA race series and the rapid growth rate of its brand. We are looking forward to contributing to that success and securing new partners for the organization."

A little more than a decade after the first XTERRA off-road triathlon was "born on the beach" in Maui, XTERRA has since grown into a global phenomenon with more than 175 events in 14 countries.

"Over the past dozen years XTERRA has grown from a one-off race to a full-fledged brand," said TEAM Unlimited CEO, Tom Kiely. "Our roots are in racing but our brand is universal and appeals to the greater active lifestyle market. We think that Chris Foy and his team at General Sports Alliances understand this, and we believe their expertise in sponsorship will help us find the right partners to lead us into the future."

XTERRA produces the world's leading off-road triathlon series, manages a 60-race worldwide trail running series, and has its own line of branded products ranging from wetsuits to footwear and fitness equipment to tech wear and apparel. XTERRA also produces eight-to-ten new TV shows each year, has an Eco Team that helps preserve and protect race venues and a Foundation designed to provide educational opportunities for at-risk youth.
