The General Sports Foundation's Suite Dreams Project experienced another
phenomenal year of fulfilling its mission of creating healing environments for
children affected by serious medical conditions in their homes, hospitals and
in our communities. These healing environments help to improve quality of life
and speed recovery.
In Michigan, the Suite Dreams Project® completed 24 dream bedrooms for sick children in the metropolitan Detroit area in 2006. The Project also completed its second Xtreme Dream Home Makeover (a total home remodel) for a young girl suffering from cystic fibrosis. In addition to the efforts of the Suite Dreams Project headquarters in Michigan, the Indianapolis chapter led by Lori Robbins completed 12 new healing environments for sick children in 2006. Since 2001, the Suite Dreams Project has now completed more than 250 healing environments.
We would like to thank all of the sponsors, supporters, volunteers and contributors for another outstanding year. We are especially grateful for the generous donations received through the 2006 Hats Off Luncheon and the Holiday Campaign. Through the support of our donors and volunteers, the Suite Dreams Project continues to provide hope and healing environments to many sick children.
